A Rustic Country House Derbyshire Wedding at Shottle Hall
Beth and Brad married in a beautiful late spring ceremony at Shottle Hall – an idyllic Victorian country house that I really is a great backdrop for a variety of weddings.
I joined them as guests were arriving for the day, managing to catch (via a guest tip off) the groomsmen getting ready in the venue car park.
I loved the songs by Sam Jayne, she has a great repertoire, yet somehow makes the songs her own. I especially enjoyed her acoustic rendition of Fontaines DC’s ‘Favourite’. And the guest illustrations by Honey Bea were a really interesting alternative to a guestbook. The rustic suits and decor, and the understated simplicity of Beth’s dress really gave the day a stylised feel that was uniquely theirs.
We lucked out on weather – It had been a rainy week (it is Derbyshire, after all!) and it held off for most of the day.
Overall, it was a really relaxed wedding with a great crowd of people.
