I was brought up on Kerrang, NME and Q magazine. My coffee table books are full of vinyl cover art and street photography. I love grain, blurriness, and not eliminating parts of memories, story, feeling for the sake of prettiness. My influences are the great documentary photographers such as  Jane Bown, Josef Koudelka, Alex Webb, Mary Ellen Mark – and cinematographers who understand that a frame isn’t just a picture, it’s a feeling. The way light, movement  and shadow can carry an entire emotional world without a word being spoken. That’s what I’m chasing on your wedding day.

About Me

I’m an outsider, an introvert and a bit of a geek.  I’ve been capturing weddings across Derbyshire and the Peak District for 15 years and also mixing in some documentary family photography.  I  hold Rainbow Accreditation with Derbyshire LGBT+, live in a Neurodiverse household and warmly welcome couples of all backgrounds and identities.

I live in Derby with my wife, three children and a shamelessly uncurated selection of pets, musical instruments and vintage cameras.
