A Documentary Wedding Photographer in Hampshire

A wedding guest summed this wedding up perfectly towards the end of the day.

“This is one of those quintessentially English weddings, the sort that you sadly don’t see many of nowadays” Before telling us how his son had moved to Japan so he wasn’t going to be throwing a bash like this anytime soon.

And what a bash it was. Ceremony at St Mary’s Church, Andover. Holly and the bridesmaids getting ready at The Tap Cottage in Stockbridge. George and the boys at The Eagle Inn. Reception on a privately owned Estate. The grand national. An amazing band and the day did not hold still for a second.

George and Holly approached me with the most intriguing email I’d ever received (at the time, back in January – my business nowadays is a string of intriguing couples)

The enquiry went like this:

Tell me about your wedding (don’t hold back, this is the best bit)
My Dad introduced me to Martin Parr when I was a kid, and we recently heard Martin speak at the V&A before he sadly passed away. We really like his style especially the New Brighton project. Our wedding itself is still in early days planning, we got engaged in October 2025, ceremony planned for April 2026. Church service followed by party at home. We loved your style and having been researching photographers for a few weeks and wanting to avoid the sea of sameness, your style really stood out.
