Best Wedding Photography 2024
As another year draws to a close, I find myself scrolling through thousands of precious moments I’ve had the privilege to capture throughout 2024. Each wedding has been a unique celebration of love, and I’m grateful to have been trusted to document these special days for so many wonderful couples.
2024 – A Year of Beautiful Celebrations
I’ve met so many new people this year – and documented such different kinds of love in very different venues – from Yorkshire pub gardens to exclusive London hotels (On the anniversary of Elizabeth and Richards wedding I’ll be at Mansfield Minors Association). Proposal shoots in the Peak District to tiny micro weddings (my last wedding of 2024 only had three guests)
Memorable Moments
As always my favourite captures this year have been the unscripted ones – so my best wedding photography of 2024 selection has taken this into account. My criteria for choosing has been to try and find photos that evoke emotion and have a universal appeal – the ones that make complete strangers feel like they were there on the day.
Technical Evolution
I’ve continued to evolve my craft this year, but the focus has been more on relating to people and the exploration of my relationship and place in a wedding day as someone who partakes in and documents it. There have been very few camera / lens purchases (with the exception of this Nikon) and education has been focused mainly on aspects that usually fall outside of photography.
I usually have a buzzword to focus me going into the next year. I haven’t found it yet.
Thank You to My Couples
To all the couples who invited me to be part of their celebrations this year – thank you. Your trust in me to document one of the most important days of your lives means everything. Each wedding has strengthened my belief that love stories are best told through genuine moments, natural interactions and that trusting in serendipity always results in better photography.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As I look forward to the weddings already booked for 2025, I’m excited to continue telling your love stories through my lens. For couples still planning their special day, I have limited dates available for the coming year and would love to discuss how we can work together.
