A Micro Wedding at Bakewell Town Hall
Simon and Amy married in a micro wedding at Bakewell Town hall – just 8 guests at the ceremony, Simon and Amy’s parents and their children. Photographing a wedding like this is completely different to the normal wedding – what is usually quite chaotic becomes quite quiet and every move and breath seems to have added significance. It’s a completely different experience.
After that the plan was to head into Bakewell, feed the ducks and eat some Bakewell tart. But the children had previously tried Bakewell tart and discovered it did not live up to expectations. So we went for an adventure around Bakewell.
I loved the intimacy of this wedding and was suprised to learn that I was practically invisible on the day. Which made me proud as I do believe that’s my most ninja like documentary wedding photography ever.
If you want your micro wedding day capturing this way, please get in touch.
“If you’re looking for someone to take natural, beautiful photos of your big day, look no further. Simon was able to capture every moment of our big day and somehow remain pretty much invisible.
Memories to look back on for the rest of our life due to the wonderful work he did. Couldn’t speak more highly of him.”

Bakewell Town Hall Micro Wedding Photos
Tired of seeing the same old wedding photos?
My couples tell me things like “We didn’t know you were there“, “The photos are totally us” and “Everytime we look through the photos we see something new”.
That stems from an intentional interaction with a wedding – sensitive to preserving the heart of it, but capturing the story, the atmosphere, the emotions and your people in multilayered photos that take you back to the beating heart of the day.
If you want that sort of magic from your wedding photography – download the brochure, get in touch and let’s start talking about what I can create for you.
