Josie & Dan’s Alcumlow Barn Wedding

So this week we’re back to a big photo dump. I’ve been wanting to blog Josie & Dan’s wedding for ages, and the blog posts where I talk about a handful of pictures were taking a long time to put together. Couple that with the fact that it’s silly season, I may have never got round to blogging it. So if you were enjoying the ‘photographer insight’ style posts, sorry. Maybe more in the future?

I do think what this wedding shows is that there really is no need for posing. All the best, most natural and authentic shots are definitely taken on the fly as Josie and Dan enjoy their day. They really are a lovely couple and most defiantly in love.

We also took the time to take some instant film portraits. These were definitely some of my favourite photos of the day.

The night was rounded off by excellent music from The Vows. If you’re looking for indie-rock played with real passion and energy, I’d heartily recommend booking these guys.

Alcumlow Wedding Barn

Alcumlow Wedding Barn is a rustic barn venue based in the picturesque Cheshire countryside. It has a mix of luxury and rural charm, with plenty of wonderful places for photography (if you want to think about your photography in a more traditional, nice backdrop sort of way) but I think what I found really special was the outside chapel, which has it’s own unique aesthetic. It really makes for an interesting wedding ceremony location.
