A Nottingham City Wedding
Taylor & Matt
This one sat in my drafts for a long time. I kept getting stuck on how to introduce it — and then I realised, I didn’t want to label it. I just wanted to say: this was a wedding. A beautiful one. With ALL the emotions. One of my absolute favourites from last year.
This was also one of those weddings where you park the car before taxi-ing all over the city and then trying to work out where you parked at the end of the night.
Taylor & Matt kicked off the day with a wedding at Bridgford Hall, before heading to Skein for a meal with close friends and family. (If you haven’t been, do, the food is amazing) some emotional speeches followed by another leap into the taxi and drive across Nottingham City again.
Celebrations wrapped up at The Embankment with drag / burlesque acts Arthole Thom and Axolotl Full Throttle , before a lot of dancing and celebrating.
We managed to find some quiet time and space around Victoria Embankment and memorial gardens for some portraits ( I did feel the need to express the fact that it’s not that I don’t know how to pose gay couples. I purposefully avoid posing anyone because wedding posing is weird – you can read all about that over here) I very rarely feature a portrait up top, but I love this one.
Anyway, here are some of my favourite photos.
