Swancar Farm Wedding Photographer
Charlotte & Alex @ Swancar Farm Country House
“Simon was extremely professional. What stood out the most was how they seemed to be everywhere without ever being in the way and without us even noticing they were there. It felt like the day was unfolding naturally, but when we saw the photos, we were amazed at how they’d managed to document everything so beautifully, especially our two doggos which was a priority for us.
The photos themselves are stunning. They perfectly reflect the emotion and beauty of the day, and it’s clear that Simon knows how to capture both the big moments and the quiet, intimate ones. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. We’re so grateful to have had them capture our wedding.”
Charlotte & Alex married at Swancar Farm Country House on the border of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Swancar Farm is very exclusive and purpose built for weddings – and if you like the farmhouse / rustic vibe I really recommend considering it for your wedding day.
This was my only wedding this season with a second photographer – I started the morning with Charlotte & her bridesmaids, whilst Darren went to join Alex and his best man.
We got away with quite nice weather for September – before a mega-thunderstorm blew in at the end of the day. (Just in time for the portraits! – But I still think we got some great moments with Charlotte & Alex)
Charlotte & Alex also bought their two dogs, Gunther and Cedric (I think there will be a post about dogs at wedding soon!)
I also want to thank Darren Cresswell photography for his wonderful work on the day and also being great company.

Tired of seeing the same old wedding photos?
My couples tell me things like “We didn’t know you were there“, “The photos are totally us” and “Everytime we look through the photos we see something new”.
That stems from an intentional interaction with a wedding – sensitive to preserving the heart of it, but capturing the story, the atmosphere, the emotions and your people in multilayered photos that take you back to the beating heart of the day.
If you want that sort of magic from your wedding photography – download the brochure, get in touch and let’s start talking about what I can create for you.
