Sandon Hall Wedding Photographer
I didn’t share this wedding for so long. I think it’s because I slipped down the steps at Sandon Hall (it was a super rainy day) and damaged my ankle. So despite Sarah & Sam being a lovely couple, and their family being a great craic… I may have not come back to look at the photos in the period after delivery due to the pain in my ankle being my main reminder of the day.
Which is a shame, because there are some absolute crackers here.
Sarah and Sam married at Ilam Holy Cross, which is in the beautiful location of Ilam Park in the Derbyshire Peak District. Sam walked Carson, their Chow Chow down the aisle. The church was candlelit for an autumnal ambience.
Did I mention it was rainy? There were a lot of umbrellas out and we eschewed doing portraits at Ilam Holy Cross and waited for the warmth of Sandon Hall.
Sandon Hall – Staffordshire Country Wedding Venue
Sandon Hall is a wonderful country house wedding venue in Staffordshire. We didn’t explore the grounds (did I mention it was rainy?) and I’m sure it has a lot to offer. But the magnificent interiors made for a wonderful backdrop for a drinks reception and a grand hall made an awe inpiring location for the meal and speeches.
The party after meal and speeches was wonderful – with a full dancefloor and a Father-Daughter dance to Sweet Child O’Mine.
Words never do this stuff justice. If you want me to capture your special day in my relaxed, authentic documentary style (and hopefully not fall down any stairs this time), give me a shout.
