Wedding Photography at The Maynard
Jade & Ryan @ The Maynard Hotel, Hope Valley, Derbyshire
“We picked Simon because we didn’t want to have lots of staged group photos and loved that Simons style caught people in those candid/unplanned moments.
The photos from the day are brilliant, he caught so many funny moments (including a jenga tower fall and a Beyoncé moment from me) and really understood what we were going for with the photos. Simon stayed later than he was supposed to to make sure he captured the fun of the night do!
Simon was amazing! I cannot recommend him enough! Book him, you will not be disappointed!”
I’m finally getting round to blogging my summer weddings – and this is the first one I thought I should share. I’ll hopefully have some input from Jade & Ryan about their special day soon, but wanted to get this up.
Jade and Ryan chose to get married at The Maynard – a boutique hotel in Grindlethorpe in The Peak District. It’s won East Midlands Wedding Venue of the year twice and Best in the UK once at The Wedding Industry Awards. Their ceremony was held by David Willis from Acorn2Oak Ceremonies.
This was such a great relaxed crowd – and an awesome party (as you’ll see from the wedding photos below.) – So it was a simple day, with lawn games, a lot of dancing (I’d never seen everyone hit the dancefloor to ‘Mardy Bum’ before) and a beautiful ceremony. We did some relaxed portraits on site just to keep things simple.
