How are you all doing? It’s been a crazy crazy time.
I’ve had very little on, as you can imagine. 2020 so far has been a couple of small weddings, an engagement shoot and a family session – so only a tiny percentage of the work that I’d usually be doing over the summer season.
I did get to spend an evening with the lovely Ruth and Jon recently – who’s are getting married next year in Mickleover. They were both super anxious at first at getting their photos taken (I threw away the first 5 minutes or so of the session) but soon relaxed into it and the session turned into real fun.
We met at Elvaston Castle, which is a great location with woodland, lakes and, of course, a very derelict castle. On a good day you can even get coffee and cake.
We also had a beautiful sunset (I really advise booking your session an hour or two before sunset, as the golden hour or so before tends to give great light, and then you get a sunset too).
