Mansfield Registry Office Wedding Photographer

“Simon was everything we could have dreamed of in a wedding photographer—kind, unpretentious, and with an incredible gift for capturing life exactly as it unfolds. We absolutely treasure our photographs, and even three months later I still find myself looking through them most days. On the day itself, Simon was almost invisible, yet somehow managed to capture every little moment so beautifully.”

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Colleen & Aaron’s family-oriented wedding at Mansfield Registry Office, with a reception at Shirebrook Miners Welfare

I loved the fact that at the same time last year I was shooting a very upmarket wedding at St Ermin’s Hotel in London. My job takes me all over the place and into all sorts of venues with all sorts of people – it’s one of the things I love about being a documentary wedding photographer.

I particularly loved this day for its colour, its colourful personalities and its chaos. Colleen and Aaron have done a wonderful job of transforming the function room at the back of the Miners Welfare into a sea of colour, light and balloons. Which has made for a wonderful backdrop for all the magical moments that transpired throughout the day.

With a full dancefloor, plenty of toys, a bouncy castle  and some of the best Pizza I’ve ever had – what more could you ask for?

If my relaxed, documentary wedding photography style makes you smile – get in touch to ask about your special day.
