“He managed to capture every moment, yet was never interfering with them”
Lots and lots of natural reportage moments, a beautiful September day in a fantastic location in the Peak District. What more could you ask for?
I love a good September wedding – it’s the change of seasons. Summer is drawing to a close, the evenings are drawing in. It’s a great time for using the sunset and the more dramatic lighting throughout the day.
It was wonderful being at home in the morning to see the girls prepare – the love and support in the house was obvious, and I think it shines through in the photos. Doesn’t Gemma look fantastic in that dress?
Gemma & Craig married at Ringwood Hall Hotel, which is a Grade II listed manor house in Chesterfield. It wasn’t the only wedding held there on the day – but the staff were very mindful of this and it felt like an exclusive event. The grounds are fantastic – and give rise to so many photo opportunities.
The speeches were both hilarious and deeply touching. Particularly when Craig’s dad stood up to say a few words, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.
